I’m supposed to get my build slot date this week, but it’s only Tuesday so far.
This must be what hell is like.
70 days since deposit and counting.

Pretty brutal, but you have some hope. My ST took 6 months from order to delivery, with a couple shut downs on the way and I didn’t have any clue when it would be scheduled until about a week before.
Apparently Ford gives priority to building cars that will go into stock at a dealer, so you can get a car faster if you get one of these (which usually means paying markup and dealing with that particular dealer). Most people that took delivery of a 2015 before me bought them well before they were delivered to the dealer from those existing orders...
I don’t know why they don’t prioritize customer orders, but it’s just how they operate.
Interestingly, I sent out a request to a bunch of dealers for the exact specs I wanted and at least one ordered it immediately even though I didn’t buy from them. They received one identical to the one I ordered about a week before mine came in.
